Who gave this a "0"?!?!

I'm sick of punks who run through the new submissions board and drop Zeros...both those who do so to songs of a different genre than they're used to or without acknowlegement of skill. This song, with it's slow rythem and lead in 3 beats per measure, is good. I love the dark feel, too. the only complaint is how repetitive it is towards the end...a breakdown 2/3 into the song might fix that. Keep up the good work! 8/10 4/5

HarvestThrone responds:

Thanks! And I agree -_- People can be annoying, but oh well. Anyway, yeah it's still something I'm probably going to go back to and fix a few things here and there I think, and I'll definitely take what you've said into consideration. Wouldn't want people falling asleep on me. I actually mispelled the title now that I look at it...*sighs* -_- Anyway, thanks again!

Good Stuff.

Dunno if this was one person or multiple people, but good job none the less. Good energy. I like the fact that it is Vocal-less, but think vocals would go well with it.

Almost there.

I see how your were trying to achieve that Industrial sound, and I'd say that you were close, but it felt too mid heavy. Add some deeper bass hits and some higher pitched metal on metal clangs, and I think you'd be closer to a professional industrial sound than you are now. Just my opinion, though.

zomgkerrie responds:

i definitely hear you on that. i am trying to expand my sound out of the mid range to include more highs and more lows in the bass especially. thanks so much for taking the time to listen!!!

Well, I listened to the whole thing through...

...and it just didn't seem like it needed the bass hit. The techno/trance hit took away from what seemed more like a more (emotionally) powerful, ambient/symphonic song. I like what was done at the 2:41 mark, though. Not much I'd change there.

I don't think it deserves the 2/5 that some are giving it. Sure, it needs some work, but I can tell that some effort and talent went into this.

3/5, 7/10.

zomgkerrie responds:

thank you so much for listening to it the whole way through....i think i tried too hard with the combining of genres: the techno and classical.....it does sound a tad rough. i'm glad you liked it at 2:41. that's my favorite part too. i know i'm sad that it is getting 2's. i would fairly put it at a 3. i rarely give out 2's unless it seriously makes my ears hurt. thank you so much for the fair review and the time to listen:D

I see....I SEE....

...a 10 and a 5.

And then it was so. Without resistance, the composer accepts and possibly...embraces the review.

And then it was so...

Didn't I hear the lead synth somewhere before...

Good stuff man. I found myself sub-conscientiously bobbing my head. This is probably one of my favorites of yours, but I've a few songs to go before I find that out. =)

Great!

I see boss battle potential. It just needs a little more intensity...some percussion perhaps? Good song as it is, though.

Lmao!!!

When I opened this song, the visualization was that of the tank riding over and through hills, and after reading your comment and watching the tank again, all I could think about was that very tank guy incredibly happy running over live, wild babies and domestic kittens.

Oh, and I like the song.

thatguy669606 responds:

lol your review made me laugh for quite a bit..."live, wild babies and domestic kittens" ???

lol nice
thanks for the review bro

oh and i totally see what you mean

Just needs some more.

I smell some talent, although it appears most of it partains to the first three strings of the guitar, E A and D, haha, like most metal players, I being included.

That second part is just BEGGING for some Double Bass Pedal Roughage! Get it. Get it NOW! It played out in my head, and the riff became something F****** amazing.

oh, and I just realized...I just posted on your 8th entry to the Valor album, which I don't remember being even near the state of metal/grunge. What kind of album is this going to be?

Ah, good old times!

This song reminded me of the good ol' video game times, working my way down probably the level right before the climax of the game. Favorite part of the song is the synth work towards the end. Only negative thought is that the song seemed to stop moving once or twice, like it needed to change pace or tone.
