Excellent!!!

I've not much to say beyond the header, but felt this needed a written review.

Did you use some sort of vocoder?

broosree responds:

I used a very sensitive setting on a pitch correction filter, yes. I do lots of choral stuff in my songs and this is the first time I've used pitch correction. It was very freeing, but the sound is distinctive so it's not something I'll probably do terribly often. One of my other songs on this site uses it, but I'm not too happy with that one. I'm more pleased with the result on this track.

Glad you like it - thanks for the review!

Very interesting.

The first 15 seconds of the song almost led me to beleive this song would be a 2, but after listeneing to the whole thing through, I must say...very interesting. Though it didn't turn me into a quantum physicist of sorts, it did make for an enjoyable, if not unique musical experience. The second half is where it really shines, especially around 1:17 and after. Hopefully people give a listen beyond 20 seconds before submitting a review.

On a funny side note, the whole time I listened to this song, I thought of Imakuni (I'm probably a little off on that) from Pokemon Trading Card Game.

xenonbirds responds:

Thank you very much! It's good to see some people are actually appreciating my style. :)

If this song were in No More Heroes...

It would be the song that played when you were talking to the woman that always called Travis an Otaku; where you bought/upgraded your katana.

Don't call a Dean guitar tacky!!!

The best guitar I've ever touched is a metallic orange Dean Hardtail, and I am now the proud owner of it.

Anyways, awesome riffs. Would be awesome to hear some drums behind it. What recording program are you using? It's not fantastic, but much better than the recorder on my phone that I use.

Also, I definitely can see a snow covered mountainous environment with this song. Do yourself a favor and keep the note arrangement as it is, as I cannot see any room for improvement without changing the mood of the song.

WhiteChocolateBunny responds:

Thanks man, I am using a Line 6 Spider Jam for the drum click. I wrote this in stream of conscious, so improvement on a work like this is pretty difficult. I'll get a better drum track, install a better recording program...

And I won't be calling my Deansky tacky lmao

Insane...

Are YOUR hands really trilling that fast!? There's no way. That's crazy!

Awesome remix, btw. Best I've heard yet.

WTF!?!?

Not what I was expecting at all. I was all like, "time to see what the worst metal song is on Newgrounds (Based on clicking the last song on the ratings list)" but this song is awesome, and certainly better than some of the first page.

Ah, I see...it didn't get any ratings. Well, here you go. Awesome song!

I'm no pro, but...

If you think your work is "Dull", then it might be due to the same reasons a buddy of mine thought the same of his work.

First off, everything in this song is in fourths. No I don't mean that the rhythm is 4 beats per measure, but every part of the music repeats four times, then changes ever so slightly. Mix it up more.

Also, this song is very safe. I don't really know how you'd go about changing it, but don't be afraid to take advice from the songs that inspire you.

Anyways, it's not bad, so don't beat yourself up over it. =)

Pand3mic responds:

yea this was a bad effort. i should spend a few days next time. this was like 30 mins

Wow, not what I was expecting.

Awesome remix. Don't have much more to say, other than the song's theme is kinda stupid. "You're like a sugar rush". Been there, done that, and don't think I'd ever compare it to a person...unless she's singing to a can of Mountain Dew. THAT would make perfect sense.

z0di4c responds:

LOL xD I liked how you commented on the lyrical content rather than my producton haha. But thanks haha

I can taste the dunsty trail in my mouth.

I'm pretty sure there is no other visualization I could possibly see in my mind other than me on a motorcycle cruising down a dusty country road, overgrowing grass on both sides, nearly hiding the taller stalks of corn behind. All of a sudden, I'm careening into the corn field, to which I run onto a 2x8 laying on a hay bail, effectively using them as a ramp and launching me and my bike over cows and barns alike. We land roughly back on the dusty road, but I regain control and ride off into the sunset.

Where's the Newgrounds Love?

Though this song may be simple, the first half of the song transcends epic. I hope this is the new Bowser song in Mario Galaxy 2. My favorite part would have to be the heavy-ness of the drums mixed with high pitched guitar. The second half of the song could use some improvement, though I lack any recommendations. The transition into the second half, though is perfect.

Also, what's with the awesome little diddy in the last two second of the song...where's the rest of it?

I's was born's a baby's.
